GLOOMY SUNDAY

Lagu Gloomy Sunday atau judul aslinya Szomorú Vasárnap yang artinya minggu yang kelam di ciptakan pada tahun 1933. Konon katanya siapa saja orang yang mendengar lagu ini akan merasa ingin mengakhiri hidupnya atau disebut dengan bunuh diri. Lagu ini di ciptakan oleh seorang pianis yaitu Rezső Seress. Lagu tersebut dibuat berdasarkan puisi yang di buat oleh László Jávor, menceritakan tentang seorang penyanyi yang depresi karena kekasihnya yang meninggal dan ingin bunuh diri dan nyatanya setelah lagu itu di liriskan László Jávor bunuh diri.


Saat lagu itu mulai dirilis dan mulai di putar ke beberapa radio, banyaknya kasus bunuh diri setelah mendengar lagu tersebut. Lagu ini sangat berlagenda dan entah mengapa lagu ini menjadi memicu orang untuk melakukan hal bodoh yaitu bunuh diri. Bahkan pencipta lagu tersebut yaitu Rezső Seress mengalami stress dan mengakhiri hidupnya dengan terjun di apartemen dari tempat tinggalnya pada tahun 1968.

Lagu ini telah diliris menjadi 7 versi oleh 56 penyanyi yang berbeda, lagu ini juga diterjemahkan kedalam beberapa bahasa seperti inggris, perancis, finlandia dan spanyol.

Pada tahun 1941 lagu gloomy sunday dinyanyikan kembali oleh Billie
